Independent City Intelligence

Decide where to live with the same rigour you bring to choosing a job.

MetroCityLife is an independent relocation publication covering cost of living, housing decisions, city moves, and practical settlement planning — written and reviewed by a named editor, grounded in a published methodology, updated on a defined cadence.

What MetroCityLife is — and what it isn't

Most "where to live" content on the internet is one of three things: a real-estate listing platform's blog post written for SEO, a travel publication treating cities as scenery, or a forum thread of strongly-held but unverified opinions. MetroCityLife is none of those. It is an editorial research site that treats the question "where should I live?" as a serious analytical problem with a finite number of relevant variables — cost, housing, income, safety, healthcare, transit, climate, lifestyle — and works through them one city at a time.

Every guide starts with a practical reader problem: choosing a city, planning a move, understanding the true cost of settling in, or comparing options without getting lost in generic ranking lists. We do not embed crowd-sourced reviews. We do not recycle other publications' rankings. Every page is written and reviewed by Raza Ahmad, who is named and contactable on every byline.

We are independent and reader-supported. We do not accept paid placements in rankings, sponsored content disguised as editorial, or paid removals. Editorial choices are made for reader usefulness, not for commercial relationships.
